Dear Teaneck Residents,
My name is Jennifer Levy, and I bring a diverse background to the table, having served as a former general studies principal in a day school and taught at the Bergen County Academies and New Milford High School. Currently, I practice law in Passaic and Bergen Counties. As a parent of a child who graduated from Lowell Elementary School and attended Benjamin Franklin Middle School, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student in our district receives the support and education they deserve.
I grew up in Princeton, attended both public and private schools, and graduated from Stern College, Teachers College at Columbia, and Fordham Law. I also hold an MA in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University. While at Fordham, I participated in the Street Law Program and volunteered at MLK Jr. High School, empowering students through legal education and SAT preparation tutoring. This diverse experience has given me a deep understanding of students from various backgrounds.
Looking ahead, I am eager to connect with Teaneck constituents. I want to meet all stakeholders, engage in meaningful conversations, and collaborate to address our district's challenges. I am driven by a duty to serve the Teaneck community, especially our students and their families. With a positive outlook and a desire for problem-solving, I am committed to fostering constructive change that benefits our entire community.
My campaign platform focuses on Kids, Community, and Transparency. We aim for our schools to be exemplary, to lift all kids up, for our community to be united, and for our board and administration to make clear, financially sound decisions that maximize the potential of all students.
I look forward to meeting each of you and embarking on this journey together.
